A bit of history at the Boris Eifman Theatre

Her unique artistic vision and dramatic relationship with the great sculptor inspired Boris Eifman to create the ballet Rodina, Her Eternal Idol, in which the audience, together with the main character, follows the main events of her life: her first meeting with Rodin, their joint work on future masterpieces, a painful breakup, destructive criticism and a tragic end in a mental hospital.

As the leading soloist Lyubov Andreeva, who performs the role of Camilla, said, in the play Rodina, part of it is built on a bare nerve. Camilla takes away a lot of the actress's inner world after the performance. Lyubov feels devastated. Every time, she says, when she is taken off the stage, she cries.
