An amazing ballet story about a great sculptor on the stage of Boris Eifman's theater
As befits the master of choreography and staging – Boris Eifman, ballet has a stunning story with a tragic ending. During his creative path, the sculptor Auguste Rodin fell in love with his student and model Camille Claudel. She became his muse for 15 years. Their relationship was full of passion, inspiration, creative jealousy and even hatred. The dramatic union of two creative personalities literally became one. Claudel helped create masterpieces in the hands of the sculptor, generously sharing her beauty and genius. Excessive self-sacrifice drove her first into the walls for the insane, and then into the coffin. And Rodin's longing for his student knows no bounds.
Eifman successfully shows us the tragic path of a genius with the help of unique ballet plasticity. This is a reflection on the human price for the birth of immortal masterpieces. Each creative path contains the torments of the human spirit and internal struggle.
