"Anna Karenina" in the March repertoire of the Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre
The performance is a reflection of the famous People's Artist on the famous novel by Tolstoy "Anna Karenina". The choreographer worked incredibly hard on the psychological picture of the characters and embodied it in his production. Eifman himself noted that he had long been interested in Tolstoy's work and this work inspired him with its energy, emotionality and, of course, the love story "Anna - Karenin - Vronsky".
The plot has undergone serious authorial comprehension, the performance does not have the locations familiar to us from the novel, the characters are at a European carnival. In addition, the dances aptly emphasize the main tragic accents of the production. It is the plasticity and movements on the stage that draw the dramatic plot of Anna Karenina. In the performance, much attention is paid to the musical component. The ballet will feature fragments from famous works by Tchaikovsky.
