The Boris Eifman Theatre hosted the evening “Creativity Unites”

The Boris Eifman Dance Academy is getting ready for summer: the evening "Creativity Unites" served as an introduction to the July "Global Values" festival.

In 2020, when the pandemic hit, the "School of Innopraktika and Russian Seasons" project was launched in St. Petersburg. The project is designed to create a dialogue between countries, artistic views and traditions. For the first time, students from different countries, from the USA to Poland, began arriving in the northern capital under this program. The annual festival "Global Values", which will be held at the Alexandrinsky Theatre in July this year, is a wonderful conclusion to the project.

The main guest of the evening "Creativity Unites" was choreographer Allen Chunhui Xing, who was recently a student at the school. At the evening, viewers were able to see two of his works in collaboration with students of the Boris Eifman Academy courses and with the Xing Dance Theater company. Between the works, Ivana Balabanova's work "On/Off" was shown, performed by the St. Petersburg theater "Kannon Dance".

The works turned out to be very different in style, mood, plot and execution, but all the productions touched on one theme - the interaction of society and man. The main question that worries the artist is how to preserve himself and his individuality.
